QNAP has launched two 10-port Lite Managed network switches, the QSW-L2110-10T and QSW-L2110-2S8T, bringing hybrid 2.5GbE and 10GbE wired connectivity to home networks and small offices starting at $129.
Announced in October 2026 and reported by Notebookcheck, both desktop switches share a core layout designed to aggregate multi-gigabit client traffic onto a 10 Gbps backbone. Each unit provides eight 2.5GbE RJ45 ports compliant with the IEEE 802.3bz NBASE-T specification, paired with two 10GbE uplink ports. According to QNAP hardware specifications, both models deliver a total non-blocking throughput of 40 Gbps and an 80 Gbps switching capacity.
The primary distinction between the two models lies in their 10GbE physical interfaces, power draw, and retail pricing. Priced at $179, the QSW-L2110-10T features two 10GBASE-T (IEEE 802.3an) copper RJ45 uplink ports. Those copper ports negotiate across five speeds—10G, 5G, 2.5G, 1G, and 100M—allowing deployments over existing twisted-pair cabling when full 10 Gbps link rates are unreachable over longer cable runs. The all-copper QSW-L2110-10T has a maximum power consumption of 18 watts.
The more affordable QSW-L2110-2S8T retails for $129 and replaces the copper uplinks with two 10GbE SFP+ fiber cages. The SFP+ slots accept standard optical transceivers, Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cables, or SFP+-to-RJ45 modules, and maintain backward compatibility with 1G SFP optics under IEEE 802.3z. Because SFP+ cages require less native power than 10GBASE-T PHYs, QNAP rates the QSW-L2110-2S8T at a maximum power consumption of 12 watts via its 12V/1A DC external power adapter, though Notebookcheck noted that figure excludes the power draw of installed SFP+ transceivers.
Positioned between basic unmanaged hardware and full Layer 2 enterprise gear, the QSW-L2110 series runs QNAP Switch System (QSS) software accessible through a web management interface and an RJ45 console port. Both switches support IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging for network segmentation, IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) for combining port bandwidth, IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service (QoS), IGMP Snooping, port mirroring, and 12K jumbo frames alongside a 16K MAC address table.
Both models use a fanless metal enclosure measuring 27 x 240 x 105 mm for silent operation. The QSW-L2110-10T weighs 0.69 kg, while the QSW-L2110-2S8T weighs 0.63 kg. Both switches are available now through the official QNAP US store with a two-year warranty, giving enthusiasts a sub-$200 path to pair Wi-Fi 7 access points and multi-gigabit workstations with 10GbE NAS storage.
