Zyxel Networks has launched the XS1935 series of 10G multi-gigabit Lite-L3 smart-managed switches, giving small and medium-sized businesses 10- and 12-port wired backbones to support Wi-Fi 7 access points and multi-gigabit local storage.
According to a September 23, 2026 announcement reported by TechPowerUp, the XS1935 series comprises three compact desktop and rackmount models: the 10-port XS1935-10, the 12-port XS1935-12HP, and the 12-port XS1935-12F. Succeeding the previous-generation XS1930 lineup, the new switches provide up to 10 Gbps across every port to eliminate local network bottlenecks caused by aging Gigabit switches connected to high-throughput servers, NAS arrays, and IP camera appliances. On copper RJ45 ports, the switches negotiate 5-speed multi-gigabit link rates across 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G, and 10G over existing twisted-pair cabling. Five-color LED indicators on the front panel identify the active link speed of each port at a glance, while a physical ECO button turns off status LEDs when required.
Each model in the XS1935 series targets a distinct deployment role. According to Zyxel Networks' product specifications, the baseline XS1935-10 pairs eight 10GbE multi-gigabit RJ45 ports with two 10G SFP+ fiber uplink slots for general workstation and server connectivity. For fiber aggregation or longer-distance inter-building links, the XS1935-12F flips that layout to provide ten 10G SFP+ fiber ports alongside two 10GbE RJ45 ports. The PoE-equipped XS1935-12HP features eight 10GbE RJ45 ports supporting IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ alongside two non-PoE 10GbE RJ45 ports and two 10G SFP+ slots. Delivering up to 90W per PoE port with a 400W total power budget, the XS1935-12HP powers tri-band Wi-Fi 7 access points, pan-tilt-zoom security cameras, and video conferencing hardware over a single Ethernet run.
All three XS1935 switches include Zyxel Networks' NebulaFlex architecture, allowing administrators to toggle between standalone local web configuration and license-free remote management through the Nebula cloud platform and mobile app without needing a dedicated hardware controller. Out of the box, the firmware includes Layer 2 and Lite-L3 traffic controls such as 802.1Q VLAN segmentation, Quality of Service (QoS), link aggregation, DoS defense, and IPv4/IPv6 static routing. Organizations requiring deeper routing or pro-AV tools can purchase an optional Access L3 License to activate advanced Layer 3 routing protocols and Zyxel's NetworkedAV mode, which uses a four-step wizard to optimize low-latency multicast streaming for AV-over-IP installations.
Zyxel Networks also redesigned the shipping materials for the XS1935 series, cutting per-unit packaging carbon emissions by 30 percent compared to the predecessor XS1930 series. "Small businesses should not have to replace their entire network just because a switch has become the weak link," said Kell Lin, senior associate vice president of Zyxel Networks' Networking Strategic Business Unit. While Zyxel did not disclose US retail pricing in its announcement, European retailers have listed the XS1935-12F starting around €427, the XS1935-10 near €465, and the PoE++ XS1935-12HP at €649 ahead of late October 2026 fulfillment.
